Who Are We?

Bori Muy is an indigenous non-for-profit charity passionately committed to empowering First Nations men, women and youth through transformative programs, pathways and opportunities to improve better lifestyle choices and greater outcomes for less fortunate.

Founded in 2021 by the husband-and-wife team of Kyrow and Genavie Tabuai, the organization utilizes rugby league as a platform to promote the significance of mental health and its profound influence on overall well-being. Since its inception, the directors have actively engaged with the community, merging cultural and sports to address the social and emotional health of First Nation individuals, spanning both youth and adults.

Through their dedicated efforts, Kyrow and Genavie Tabuai have fostered a strong connection between athleticism and mental wellness, emphasizing the critical role that mental health plays in leading a fulfilling life. Their commitment to the community has not only raised awareness but has also created a supportive environment where First Nation people can thrive emotionally and socially, reinforcing the importance of cultural heritage in the pursuit of holistic well-being.
