Connecting The Dot’s Youth Program

At Bori Muy, we believe that meaningful change for our First Nations youth begins with a deep cultural connection. Through our funded program, accessible only via a formal referral process, we provide intensive, culturally led mentoring designed to meet the social and emotional needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.

By engaging participants in activities such as fishing trips, cultural art therapy, and on-country camps, we create safe, immersive experiences that allow them to reconnect with their heritage and rediscover a sense of identity. This cultural grounding fosters belonging and pride, which plays a vital role in reducing antisocial behaviours and encouraging positive life pathways.

Our approach is centred on cultural strength, healing and empowerment. When young people are exposed to genuine cultural learning and supported by strong role models, they develop confidence, resilience and healthier relationships. These experiences not only uplift the individual but also strengthen families and contribute to the overall wellbeing of the community.

Through this referral-based program, Bori Muy remains committed to walking alongside our youth, ensuring they feel connected, valued and supported as they grow into strong, grounded leaders of tomorrow.
