"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them, a desire, a dream, a vision." – Joe Frazier

Joe Frazier - World heavyweights boxing Champions and one of the greatest Boxing heavyweights of all time

Bori Muy Boxing is a FREE youth wellbeing initiative designed to help young people aged 12–24 years build confidence, discipline, and healthy habits through the sport of boxing. The program runs from the Bori Muy Wellness hub and provides a structured, positive environment for participants to grow both physically and mentally.

Purpose and Goals

The program’s purpose is to use boxing as a tool for personal growth and self-improvement. It focuses on helping young people develop the mindset and behaviours that carry over into everyday life, including:

  • Discipline and focus – learning to set goals and stay committed

  • Respect and responsibility – understanding accountability for actions

  • Resilience – pushing through challenges and setbacks

  • Confidence – believing in one’s ability to improve with effort

  • Teamwork and peer support – learning to work well with others

  • Decision-making – making calm, positive choices even under pressure

These life lessons extend beyond the gym, helping participants make better choices at school, at home, and in the community.
