Deadly Men’s Group

The Deadly Men's Group is all about creating a welcoming space where men can come together to talk about various topics in a relaxed and open manner. This initiative helps build connections among participants, reminding them that they are not alone in their journeys and experiences.

The concept for the Deadly Men’s Group originated from the desire to unite men through Rugby League, aiming to raise awareness about mental health issues that affect them. What started as a simple idea quickly evolved into a regular gathering, where men found that engaging in rugby not only served as a fantastic outlet but also provided a comfortable environment for them to express their feelings and thoughts. Though we still encourage men to engage in rugby league, we also acknowledge that not all men want to engage in rugby league, so we organised Deadly Men’s Meet ups for all the men of our community to come to gather.

By organizing these meetups, we strive to boost awareness of men's mental health challenges and work together on effective strategies to reduce suicide rates among men. This program highlights the significance of community and support, encouraging participants to voice their emotions and experiences in a space free from judgment, ultimately fostering a healthier conversation around men's emotional health.
